Look what I can do!

Okay, so I've been able to do Maicee's hair this way for a while, but it never turns out how I want it to, or it looks sloppy. Even if I re-do it 3 or 4 times. Yesterday it turned out how I wanted it to on the first try for both sides. That was a big accomplishment for me.

Isn't she so pretty?

This is a picture of her angry face.

And her surprised face (I think she was tired of doing the surprise face).

And this is a picture of where Daisey sleeps when Maicee is napping. Daisey pretends that Maicee drives her crazy, but she lays here on the stairs waiting for Maicee to wake up every day. And every night. They really are best friends. (Maicee's room is just at the top of the stairs).

Halloween, the first snow fall, etc.

These posts may be out of order, sorry for that, but at least I'm putting them up!

This is Maicee and her pumpkin.

Maicee was a lady bug this year for Halloween. She loved it! She still keeps telling us, "Happy Halloween!", then holds out her hands for candy.

Maicee and her cousins. From left to right: Jordan, Justin, Maicee, Jace, and Kerrigan.

Maicee loves the snow! Every time she notices it snowing, she goes to the window and sings "Once there was a snowman", then runs to find her snow boots.

This is Maicee and her friend Ava. Ava is a couple of months older than Maicee and she's in our ward!

And I just love this picture of Maicee.

Maicee's 2nd birthday and some Christmas

I'm finally getting around to some picture posts! Here are just a few pictures of Maicee's birthday and her pink "futterfly" cake. We didn't take many pictures at Christmas because we had the video camera rolling. Oh, and I had to throw in a sick picture of me, since Dan was kind enough to take it.

Maicee got some "big girl" underwear for her birthday; I think she is putting them on in this picture.

This is a random picture of my jumping monkey.

We had a pretty good Christmas this year, Maicee is so spoiled.

It's a...

boy! We are having a boy.
We are having an arctic freeze here. When we went to the dr. this morning, it was -10 outside. Luckily the roads were clear. When we got to the dr., I told Maicee to go get a book to read to her dad. She started walking to where the books are, tripped right before a table, and fell nose first into the edge of the table. She had a double bloody nose. Poor girl. So by the time we finally got back to the ultrasound room, she was not very happy. When the ultrasound tech. told us it was a boy, Maicee kept saying "no, baby, no!" I think she really wanted a sister. Sorry for the pictures, I don't know how to work the scanner. He is going to be a turd just like his sister. She seriously spent like 10 minutes trying to get his hands down from his face so we could get a good face shot. This is the best she got.

We need to find him some clothes or he's going to be wearing pink the first few months of his life!

Is Tuesday here yet?

In two days we finally get to find out what we're having. I have been waiting for this day forever! So if any of my faithful readers (all 3 of you) want to take a guess, go for it! I will let you all know on Tuesday!

4 years now

I dread this day every year now. I normally keep busy at work, but this year I have no plans. Dan has a test today, so he will be gone all day, and he has the car.

I'm so grateful I was able to do her temple work and I know families are forever. Someday I will get to hug her again.

Funny story

I just noticed that my last couple of blogs are negative, so I wanted to add a funny story.
Christmas Eve we had plans to go to Dan's brother's house for a little get-together. I was sick all day, and spent most of the day on the couch. So when it was about time to go, nothing was ready to go, nobody had eaten dinner, and Dan still hadn't showered. I told Dan to go hop in the shower and I would make him and Maicee dinner (there was no way I was going to try and eat). I asked Maicee if she was hungry, she said "yeah." I told her I would make her some dinner. So I stuck some left-over chicken and rice in the microwave, enough for her and Dan. I had made fudge earlier in the week, and it wasn't getting eaten here, so I decided to take some to the party. While the food was warming up, I started cutting up some fudge and put it on a paper plate. I stepped over to the microwave to stir the rice, and I could hear Maicee giggling and saying "yeah, yeah." Stepped back over to where the fudge was supposed to be, and it was gone. I looked everywhere I could have placed it and couldn't find it. I finally looked in the dining room where Maicee was shoving piece after piece of fudge into her mouth. She thought I was the best mom in the world by making fudge for dinner. I let her eat a little more before switching it with some chicken and rice. She really cracks me up!
