Where we've been... Part 2

We left on Tuesday, and drove to Vancouver, with Maicee screaming the first 4 hours to go back because she was going to miss Preslee too much.  That was fun.  We made it to Vancouver with pretty good time, considering I had to stop every 3- 4 hours and nurse Blakely.  Wednesday we just hung out with Grandma and Grandpa so they could figure out our "routine".  Thursday I did laundry and packed.  I woke up at 3:30 Friday morning, finished packing, woke Blakely up, and drove to the airport with Grandpa.  My flight to Hawaii was scheduled to leave at 7:15.  Blakely was actually in a good mood, and we had a pretty decent flight, considering I hate flying!!!  But I was able to bring Blakely's car seat on the plane, and she slept most of the way.
Blakely's first airplane ride!

So peaceful!

We were super excited to see Dan.  We finally landed, and then I got lost, but we finally found our way out!  We drove to our hotel, dropped our stuff off, then Dan's brother Tim picked us up and we headed out to Hanauma Bay to go snorkeling.  Tim was only there for one more day, so he said he would watch Blakely for us and we could do something that we wouldn't be able to do the rest of the time.  I chose snorkeling because I won't go without Dan, I'm too afraid of sharks.  It was my first time snorkeling, and it was super awesome!

reunited at last!

view of the ocean from our hotel.  That beach right there ended up being my favorite beach to go swimming.
The next day we drove to the North Shore, tried to stop at the Dole Plantation, tried to get a really good snow cone, but just ended up spending time at Turtle Beach with some big sea turtles and an awesome sunset.  We left our hotel around 3, got stuck in traffic for 2 hours, and the plantation and snow shack closed at 5.

Sunday we actually got to go to the Dole Plantation, and eat our yummy snow cone.

This is a view of the beach from our hotel swimming pool, which is where we had to go swimming until Blakely's cast came off

This was our pool

Seriously the best snow cone ever!  It had homemade chocolate ice cream on the bottom, cherry flavoring, and was topped with sweet condensed milk and whip cream.  We came back to this place a couple of times.

This snow cone had the softest ice I've ever had.  It felt like I was eating soft snow.
The next week me and Blakely hung out while Dan went to work at the pink hospital. We spent a lot of time wandering the streets and beaches by our hotel.   Blakely finally got her cast off the Tuesday before we left.  It was excited because she could finally go swimming in the ocean!

Just a couple hours after her cast came off!

The Hilton right next to our hotel had fireworks every Tuesday and Friday night

Here is Blakely enjoying the fireworks

Maicee and Kyson were with us in spirit

The USS Arizona, we just missed the last boat ride that could have taken us out there.

We were able to visit Pearl Harbor the day Blakes and I left.  Our flight back was a nightmare!  We had the red eye, which left around 11 pm, they switched us to a smaller plane because not enough people were booked on the flight, so I didn't get to take Blakely's car seat, and she won't sleep in my arms. She was seriously up every 10 minutes.  We had a 3 hour layover in San Fransisco, our flight finally landed in Portland around 10:30 the next morning.  We went home and Blakely and I slept while everyone else was at church.  Part 3 coming soon...
