6 months!

Kyson is 6 months old today.  He loves to smile and play!

He is still happy most of the time.

He just loves his big sister!

And can already strike a pose.  We call this one "Blue Steel".

And he can finally roll over!  But he would prefer to have anyone else do it for him.  He is getting so chubby.  I was getting him ready for church on Sunday and had a hard time getting his pants on over his chunky thighs.  They were loose around his waist, though, and were just about the perfect length.  He goes to the dr. on Friday, so I will update his stats then.  We just love this sweet boy!
Kyson's stats:  15 lbs. 9 1/2 oz.  26 1/2 inches long.

A Tangled party, and Maicee turns 3!!!

So about 2 weeks before Maicee's birthday, I asked her what kind of cake she wanted.  Of course, she wanted a "Tangled" cake, which quickly turned into a "Tangled" party.  I threw together an "impromptu" party with some of Maicee's friends, and I hope they had fun.  We had it the Saturday before her birthday, and I'm glad we did, because the next Saturday her little friend Ava was in the hospital.  Don't worry, she's all better now.  We ended up inviting Rhianna, Kaila, and Luke, all siblings, who live just down the road from us, our neighbor Chloe, Maicee's friend Ava from church, and of course cousin Kerrigan.
Sorry for the blurry picture.  We had pink and purple soda, jello boats (from the scene in the movie where Rapunzel and Flynn Ryder watch the lanterns in the boat)

Purple grapes, and Pascal cupcakes.  I made her a little cake and just bought some Tangled figurines to go on top.  I looked at buying a cake, and it would have cost $50, with less toys!
Rhianna and Kaila.

Cousin Kerrigan was the life of the party.  She seriously sang into the microphone the whole party!  So cute!

Maicee's "twin" Ava.  Seriously, if these 2 have their hair done the same way at church, we have a hard time telling them apart from far away.

Luke and Maicee, Luke tells me all the time he is going to marry Maicee.  He is 4.

Blowing out her candle.  I had to add this picture because of that handsome boy in the background.  His name is Jordan, and it was his real birthday that day, and he was a good sport and came along with his little sister (Kerrigan) to Maicee's party.  My sis-in-law Tracie seriously has the sweetest boys ever!  I'm so proud I can call them my nephews!

This is the only picture I got of Chloe.  Maicee just adores her!

And this was Maicee's real birthday!  She had quite an exciting day.  She woke up to balloons in her room, which she loved!  We got all ready for the day, then daddy came home and didn't have to worry about school for a whole week!  We opened presents, then went to see "Puss in Boots".  Maicee did great during the movie, except when she wandered from us and went over to some other family, thinking they were us.  She started talking to them, then got all embarrassed and covered her eyes for the next 5 minutes.  A hug from daddy was all it took to make her feel better! We finished off the night by taking her out to eat.  She was more than a little spoiled this year for her birthday!  Next year her birthday will be on Thanksgiving.

This is one of her presents, Melissa and Doug cupcakes, which she picked out herself about 2 months ago.  She loves them!  She also got the Ariel dress and crown, because she loves dressing up like a princess.  Go figure!

At her 3 year check up, she weighed 31 lbs. (55%) and was 38 1/2 inches (83%).  The doctor was very impressed with how smart she was, and kept doing the 4 year old tests on her, which she passed almost all of them.  She learns things so easily!  She absolutely loves her little brother now (she no longer wants to take him "back").  She has quite the temper and throws fits easily.  She loves baby dolls, especially feeding them.  She will sit down in the gym in the middle of sacrament, pull up her shirt, and "feed" her baby.  It's not embarrassing at all.  But we just love her!

5 months!

I just love this little face!

One morning I went into the kid's room to get Kyson's bath ready.  Maicee and Kyson were just watching some Disney channel in my room.  I came back in to find this.  Big sister was just displaying her artwork.

Do you see the pen on his lower eye.  I don't know how she missed his eyeball.  Poor kid!

Then she had to crawl in his bed with him.

He is such a happy, laid back baby.  He adores his big sister.  We just love him!
