Advice, please?

So here is my dilemma: I finally got a hold of Medicaid, and they haven't even looked at my file yet. But my presumptive eligibility is up because 45 days has passed. So right now, I have no insurance coverage. If I get approved for Medicaid, they will pay any back bills. My dr.'s office is great and working with me; if I haven't heard anything by my next appointment, they will make me pay a $500 deposit, which I will get back if I get approved. The only problem is now my prescriptions are not covered. I'm good on my phenegran, but I only have 19 Zofran left. Medicaid said they would probably look at my file next week, but it could be 3-4 weeks before we hear back. So I decided to cut back on my Zofran and only take 1 a day. I've been taking it around noon, but today I threw up breakfast and dinner. So this is my question: do any of you have any suggestions at all? Should I take it in the morning and just plan on having a crappy night? Should I take it later in the afternoon and have a crappy morning/mid-day? Should I continue taking it around noon? I don't know. Please let me know what you think. I'm open for any suggestions.

i know nothing about the medication but I know that medicaid can get in big trouble for not processing your application within the 45 days. I would keep calling and try to get a different person. I had that happen and I was so mad because the process starts all over again which is why they are telling you 3-4 weeks. I called the state instead of the county office and she put my application through the next day. they have the 45 days because by law there has to be a decision of yes or no on THEIR part and by law they have to make it in 45 days. I just had this happen in September so that is how I know. Its the same in all states. Each county has different policies such as payment dates and other programs but they all have to follow the 45 day policies. so if I were you I would keep calling and say you were told 45 days their would be a decision and it would be processed! That is ridiculous and you shouldnt have to half your medication to make it last longer because they didnt process you application.

Sounds horrible. I can't believe they are taking so long to approve your file. That is ridiculous. You might need to consider getting on the schools plan or Aflac or something. I don't know what Aflac covers. It may just be supplemental.
As far as the medication goes? I would go the natural route. Look into natural or homeopathic remedies for nausea. I am sure there is something that you can take that won't cost too much. Good luck!!! lOVE you!

Im sorry, that sucks. I actually took only a half of a pill in the morning and then half at night, maybe that would help you... good luck
