Pretty School

Wow.  Today is a big day for this big girl.  She started pre-school.  She has been so excited for so long to go to school.  She keeps calling it "pretty school."  When I was little, I thought it was "police school".

Anytime I ask her to smile, she looks like she's in pain.

Her big girl back pack.

Walking into Mrs. Cathy's.

She was so excited to go in, I barely got a picture of her by her name.

So friends, I hope I will be better at blogging.  My computer had to be completely wiped clean, and I still can't figure out how to download pictures.  I'm still not sure how I got these ones on here!

We saw this commercial shortly after we bought our van.  This is our exact van!

Some new stuff...

Someday I aspire to be like my friend Beth.  She has 2 jobs, 3 kids, and yet still manages time for blogging several times a week.  She even blogs with pictures!  I know it's been a while since I've blogged, but I really do have a good excuse.  Kyson started walking a couple of weeks ago, so I run around trying to keep up with him.  Maicee is constantly on the go.  She starts gymnastics tomorrow, soccer next week, and school at the end of this month.  Oh, and we bought a new car.  Not just any car, we got a minivan.  A swagger wagon, to be exact.  For those of you not "cool", that's a Toyota Sienna.  I really dreaded getting a minivan, but really like this one.  I don't feel like I'm driving a minivan at all.  And why did we get such a big car?  Well, because baby Heilmann #3 is on her way.  Yep, that's right, we are expecting another baby.  Maicee is super excited to have a baby sister.  Her official due date is Dec. 14, but my dr. doesn't want me to have a "highway baby", and wants to start me at 39 weeks, if she hasn't come yet.  She always has her feet and her hands in front of her face, so I don't have any really good pictures of her.  So yes, that's why I've been slacking with blogging.  Looks like I'm going to be sick all 9 months with this one, also.  That's okay, it's totally worth it.

Horses!!!

We went to my sister Wende's house and did some horse back riding

Preslee was a natural

Maicee got really excited

Preslee on Flower, Maicee on Tweek

Pres and Kyson (Kyson was grumpy all night)

And Riley, really, there are no words.  I just hope he lives to see his next birthday.

He's one!

This cute little messy faced guy turned one while we were in Idaho!

His birthday was on a Wednesday, so I bought him a small gift for that day

And he got a cupcake from the Cocoa Bean.

He really liked it, until he discovered his hands were dirty

He's so handsome!

Then we had a party on Saturday, so his aunts and uncles and cousins could be there.

He got some pretty cool gifts

Big sister is always willing to help

Preslee, Kyson and Maicee playing with their new toys

And my friend Melina made this super awesome cake!  I was really happy with how it turned out!

11 months!

Kyson is 11 months old!  Seriously, where has the time gone?!!?  We had some family pictures taken, so I've just been waiting to get them back for this post.  Here ya go!

Look at how big he is!

He sure loves his daddy!

I love this picture!  Maicee adores her brother (now) and Kyson is pretty fond of her, too.

Bloody nose, and a haircut

The other day one of Maicee's friends came frantically running up to our door.  She had a panicked look on her face.  She said Maicee was bleeding all over the place.  I ran outside, and sure enough, Maicee had blood everywhere.  She was playing with one of her friends, pulling him in a wagon, when she did a nose dive into a pile of rocks.  I don't even think she had time to put her hands down.  She had blood coming out of both nostrils, and it was running down her sinuses into her mouth.  Pretty scary.  I got her inside and put a cold wash rag on her nose, and it almost instantly stopped bleeding.  The next picture is of her clothes and shoes she was wearing.  She also had blood all over her face and in her hair.  The next day we went out and followed her bloody trail all the way from the pile of rocks to our door.

Kyson got his first haircut today.  He actually enjoyed the first part of it.

Dan thought it would be handy to stick him in a box.  That way he wouldn't crawl away, and the mess would be pretty contained.

He looks so handsome now, but he doesn't look like my baby anymore!
