Horses!!!

We went to my sister Wende's house and did some horse back riding

He's one!

This cute little messy faced guy turned one while we were in Idaho!

His birthday was on a Wednesday, so I bought him a small gift for that day

And he got a cupcake from the Cocoa Bean.

He really liked it, until he discovered his hands were dirty

Then we had a party on Saturday, so his aunts and uncles and cousins could be there.

He got some pretty cool gifts

11 months!

Kyson is 11 months old!  Seriously, where has the time gone?!!?  We had some family pictures taken, so I've just been waiting to get them back for this post.  Here ya go!

I love this picture!  Maicee adores her brother (now) and Kyson is pretty fond of her, too.

Bloody nose, and a haircut

The other day one of Maicee's friends came frantically running up to our door.  She had a panicked look on her face.  She said Maicee was bleeding all over the place.  I ran outside, and sure enough, Maicee had blood everywhere.  She was playing with one of her friends, pulling him in a wagon, when she did a nose dive into a pile of rocks.  I don't even think she had time to put her hands down.  She had blood coming out of both nostrils, and it was running down her sinuses into her mouth.  Pretty scary.  I got her inside and put a cold wash rag on her nose, and it almost instantly stopped bleeding.  The next picture is of her clothes and shoes she was wearing.  She also had blood all over her face and in her hair.  The next day we went out and followed her bloody trail all the way from the pile of rocks to our door.

Kyson got his first haircut today.  He actually enjoyed the first part of it.

Dan thought it would be handy to stick him in a box.  That way he wouldn't crawl away, and the mess would be pretty contained.

He looks so handsome now, but he doesn't look like my baby anymore!

10 months!

My baby is getting so big!  Where has the time gone?!!?

Kyson is such a good baby.  He has such a sweet spirit and disposition.  Now if only I could get him to stop growing.

Finally!!!

I seriously never thought this day would get here.  Maicee is potty trained!!!  When I first started potty training, we went to the store and she picked out a toy for when she was potty trained.  This Rapunzel doll and matching dress-up dress were on sale, so that is what she picked out.  It sat in our storage room forever.  She was so excited the day she got it!  I'm so glad I don't have to change 2 sets of poopy bums anymore!

9 months

Kyson is almost 10 months, so I thought I'd better get this up! 9 months came with a lot of milestones! He finally has 2 teeth! He rolls all over the house (he's pretty fast, too. Too bad because I don't think he will ever crawl now). He sleeps tons better!!! Like, he only wakes up once a night, two or three times on a bad night. I seriously heard a heavenly choir with that one.  Since I quit nursing him, he is a completely different baby.  He no longer has tummy aches, or gas, and he's not on meds for his acid reflux anymore.  He still spits up a bit, but we just make sure to not put any pressure on his belly after he eats.  He poops at least once a day now without any prune juice, (sometimes even two or three times a day).  I seriously think my milk is poison.  He is so happy all of the time, unless he is hungry. We were really blessed with this little boy. We just love him so much!!!
